Young Dogs One to Five years old for adoption!
My name is Hena and I spent the first few years of my life in a
puppy mill. I am still very shy and untrusting, but really want to
learn how to trust people. I just need a patient, loving person
who will work with me one on one to show me that people are
good! I need a quieter home with a patient, loving person! Are
you the right one to show me how to trust people again?
I'm Clover and I've spent a lot of my life in a puppy mill
having babies. I'm about 3-4 now and I'm a Puggle. I have
lived in a foster home for a couple of years now with several
other dogs who I like a lot, but I'm still pretty shy around
people. I would rather be with my doggie friends, but my
Mom wants me to feel comfortable with people because
she knows I need my own home! She thinks if I got some
one on one time, I would come around in no time! Do you
have the home for me??
Hi! My name is Jayda and I LOVE to play! I used to be really shy,
but I'm a lot better now. I still get a little nervous in new situations,
but adjust much quicker! I love my fenced yard and need to have
that in my new home also. I am learning that going for a walk is
fun, but I don't usually potty while out there on my walk. I'm very
good about pottying outside in the fenced yard though! I bark to let
you know I have to go out too! I do play a bit rough so a dog my
age and size would be best if there are other dogs in the home.
As long as I got lots of people attention, I can probably be an only
dog though. I don't really mind cats although I haven't been
around them alot. I definitely don't like birds and hunt them in my
yard! I do have a bit of a skin problem, but as long as I eat wheat
free food and have regular flea treatment, I do pretty good! I am so
sweet that my foster Mom feels that is just part of being me so it
isn't really a big deal to her, hopefully it won't be to YOU either! We
are all unique in our own way, right???

Mack is about 2 years old now. He is a Bull
dog/American Staffordshire Terrier mix who is a
nice dog. If you're looking for  a great dog with a
very loving personality,
Mack may be your NEW
BEST FRIEND.
He is playful, but loves to chill on the
couch with you too. Mack is a pretty dog and
survived parvo as a pup, so we know he's here for
a reason... and that reason may be YOU!

Mack wants to be the only dog in the house and
get ALL of your attention. Does fine with "older"
children, only because he doesn't know he's big...
Shhhhh... we won't tell him. Gets along with cats
and you'll love the affection he gives.

Would do best with an experienced dog owner. He
would love nothing more than a companion to ride
in a truck with or to watch TV with. He is up to date
with his shots, neutered, microchipped, and HW
negative.

Don't let my size fool you...
I'm looking for LOVE and CUDDLE
TIME on the COUCH!
It's "Snuggle-time"... who's in?
Has anyone seen my ball?
Winston is about two years old and about 12" tall, loves
adults and children, gets along with dogs but not sure
about cats. Loves to run and play but also will curl up next
to you.  A great companion dog who will bury himself
under the covers at night. Housetrainned but NOT CRATE
TRAINED.  He has been pampered and does not like to
be alone. A fun loving boy who gives you lots of love, licks
and laughs! He is neutered and up to date with shots.

Cooper is a 2 year old Cockapoo who is a sweet boy with
lots of energy to play! He would do best in a home with
another dog to play with, but no cats. He doesn't hurt the
cats, but likes to chase and bark at them. He has been in a
foster home with an 11 year old child and has done
extremely well with him, we have not tried him with small
children, but he seems to be pretty friendly. We would not
recommend he be placed with children under 8 though due
to his background. He is house trained and sleeps in the
big bed at night. He does not do well in a crate. He was an
owner turn in due to him being aggressive at times with her
only, but we have seen none of this behavior. He needs an
experienced dog home so he knows who the alpha is. He
has been nothing but perfect in our care and he is a happy
boy. He plays well with others, EXCEPT FOR CATS.  The
jury is still out as to whether he wants to play with them, or
have a quick snack.  He comes when called, sits on
command, and is fairly good at "wait".  I love him, and he
loves to snuggle.  He is young and playful, and would
probably do well with older children that could run him
around and work off some energy.  He doesn't do toys, or
tennis balls, so entertainment options around here are
limited.  He is beautiful, looks like a lamb, but yodels like a
cocker spaniel. Other than the yodel, I would say he is all
poodle.

Whitey is a 2-1/2 year old Poodle/Shih-Tzu mix who has had a
rough start. He apparently was not socialized much or was
abused as he is afraid of men. He does warm up, but when first
meeting men, he has his guard up. He's a real lover though, and
will snuggle as long as he can, once he's used to his new home.
Whitey is very playful, loves his chew toys and cuddle-time.
Apparently he was taught to "beg", as he sits on his hind legs and
begs so cute. Also knows how to sit, and come when called.
Whitey is neutered, micro-chipped and up to date with shots. He
gets along fine with female dogs, but cannot be in a home with
CATS! He would do best in an all female, adult home. If you are
interested in Whitey,

Meet Chance... “If you are looking for a completely devoted canine companion, Chance
may just be your guy. Chance has had a very rough start in life to say the very least. From
what we can put together, he spent quite a bit of time on the street fending for himself. By
the time he came into the custody of animal control he was severely overgrown, and
matted to the point where his skin was burned by his own trapped urine and feces. He
was slated for euthanization when a shelter worker “saw something in his eyes” and took
the time to clean him up, in the process finding three barbed fish hooks embedded in his
skin. He was taken in by a rescue group and ultimately made his way to Central New
York, but with all that he had been through, the worst was yet to be discovered. He was
taken in to HH’s vet for an apparent bowel obstruction/possible constipation. His x-ray
shocked even the vets. It was discovered that at some point his pelvis had been
completely shattered, presumably he was hit by a car. He managed to suffer through the
pain of that injury and somehow survive without any veterinary care. The tissues
surrounding the bones had healed, keeping the bones enough “in place” that he is very
mobile, running, playing and jumping almost completely normally, but he will require
medication daily to avoid complications.
Chance is a survivor in the truest sense of the word, and despite his rough start, wants a
human of his very own. He is 4-5 years old, loving, loyal and bonds quickly. He is
protective of his person and would do best with a single mature individual. He is jealous
of other dogs and therefore would be best as an only dog, but seems to love cats! He is a
very handsome boy with a lot of love to give. He will require an owner who is willing to
patiently allow him to adapt to a new environment and “learn his language”. He is,
however, a truly devoted companion who wants nothing more than to be near his person.
