Patch went home with Jeremy today. His older brother is also a Hubbard rescue named Homer (was Freckles) who has all sorts of adventures with his Dad. Now Patch and Homer can have adventures together! We wish them all the best! Patch couldn’t have picked a better home!
Hubbard’s Hounds makes sure that all of our foster dogs are fully vetted before adoption–for our healthy pups, this may “only” include vaccinations, spay/neuter costs, flea/tick/heartworm preventatives, etc. But for many of our dogs (most have had a rough life before us) this also includes deworming medication, antibiotics, heartworm treatment, dental work, surgeries, etc. Additionally, we also have many “forever fosters” (dogs who will likely never be adopted for medical or behavioral reasons) whose medical costs we also fully cover for as long as we are blessed to have them. In short…WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Some very generous folks have offered to print and sell these adorable shirts for us–for every shirt ordered, the full purchase price (minus shipping cost) will be donated directly to Hubbard’s Hounds to help with our vet bill! This is a great opportunity to directly help the dogs currently in our rescue and to celebrate our mission to give dogs a second chance at life…one dog at a time! (Please email us if you have any questions!)
Looking for a companion who is smart, active and very loving? Biscuit is a young 8 yr old. Healthy and weighs approx 26 lbs, Biscuit is about 75 percent housetrained , but would benefit from wearing a belly band as he does mark when he thinks about it. Biscuit would provide you with all the attention and love you can handle. He is happy and does not bark much. Loves being outside. A fence would be required.
Sweet Penny is a senior citizen who was surrendered to the rescue. She is deaf, but responds to hand signals and does very well in her foster home.Penny is looking for her forever home where she will be loved and appreciated for who she is. She doesn’t have many years left, and giving her a soft warm bed and lots of loving would make her very happy
Hi! I’m Toby the chiweenie! I am a tiny little guy at about 8 lbs, but I have a LOT of personality! I love everyone and move so fast I’m hard to even see! I love to play and also to curl up in your lap! Do you need a lap buddy???? I love my brother Charley, but will understand if you can’t take us both. I just want a home where I can run around and play and be loved! I am already fully vetted-neutered, up to date with shots, microchipped, HW tested and on prevention. What could you get for my adoption donation of $300 that would be any better than my love????
After over a year gaining many adoring fans (she was a huge hit with all her foster parents’ friends) Shelly has found a family of her very own. She has a giant yard that her new parents fenced in just so they could have a special dog like her. She loves being outside and had a great time exploring all the new grass, dirt, rocks, and other ‘toys’ the yard had to offer. We’re sure she’ll be protecting it from squirrels (and birds…and bugs…and anything else that moves) in no time!
Shelly’s parents are helping her gain confidence while she learns the ropes in her new home so they can prepare for many adventures together in the years to come! She is also very excited to have two human siblings to call her own as well–she even got to walk with her mom to pick up her big brother from school the other day! Shelly is very sweet with a quirky personality (she’ll go from gazing lovingly into your eyes while slowly licking your nose, to sleeping upside-down with her tongue hanging out, to some serious drama-queen whines/sighs/grunts that crack everyone up) and we are just so glad that she’ll be sharing all of those things with her forever family from now on!

Charley is even smaller than his brother Toby! He is a sweet little, friendly guy. Likes to cuddle like most small dogs and would be great with someone who is home to give him lots of attention. Due to his size, no small children. He will be neutered and brought up to date on shots ASAP and then will be available for adoption. Adoption donation is $300. If you are interested in adopting Charley please fill out an application. Charley and Toby are a bonded pair. They were really miserable today when they weren’t together.
Jon is 5–6 month mixed breed. He will be a big fellow. Maybe 60-80 #s when grown.
He also had a rough start but is great now. Potty trained, crate trained and sweet. He weighs about 40 -45 pounds now.
Our rescue relies on volunteers to keep everything running smoothly and we have several types of volunteer roles that we need help with. Please consider donating some time to help us out! (And please share this on your FB walls, email to friends, etc. to help us get the word out!)
If you are interested in learning what it means to foster for our rescue, please visit http://www.hubbardshounds.com/index.php/become-foster/ to read more and apply!
If you can’t make the commitment to foster, doing home visits to evaluate potential adopters is another way to help! Adopters apply from all over NY (and even some in PA and surrounding states) and we do a thorough home check before any of our dogs go home. If you think you could help us by doing some Home Visits near you, please email email@example.com for more information. (Note: if you have not adopted/volunteered with us before, you may be subject to reference checks, etc.)
