Giving dogs a second chance at life... One dog at a time!
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are
meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water, and
sunshine and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole
and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content
except for one small thing; they miss someone very special to them who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are
intent. his eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs crrying him
faster and faster.

You have been spotted and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion never to be
parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the
trusting eyes of your pet so long gone from your left but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.....

In Memory
Rainbow Bridge
In Memory of Apollo by Sue Hubbard. Apollo is my nephew dog and was very loved by his
family. He went to the rainbow bridge on December 26, 2009 where he joined Nala and
Coal. Nala and Apollo had one litter of pups that produced their sons, Chance, Nugget and
my boy Coal. Nugget and Apollo have lived together their whole lives so I'm sure Nugget
will be lost without his Dad. Apollo was 13 1/2 years old and has had a wonderful life
though, it was time for him to go be in puppy heaven so he could breath easy again. Rest in
peace Apollo and say hi to Coal and Nala for me!

Love you Big guy!!
In memory of our dear boy Rocky.  You left us to early, and we miss you so much!
You were a sweet boy, and we are lucky to have had you in our hearts.  Until we
meet again.

The Hillman Family
In Memory of Bianca from Kim Tuamouri

Kim fostered Bianca for a while when she first came to us and this is what she had to say:

"She was a good dog at heart and I enjoyed fostering her for the short while I did. I
enclosed a picture of her on one of her rare "sweet" moments."

Bianca had a really rough life and we are happy to have been able to let her live out her
life with love and respect.

What Kim had to say:

I would like to make a donation in memory of our girl Bianca, she lived a year and half
longer because of Hubbards Hounds and had a comfortable life at the end. I enjoyed
fostering her and saw a side of her that was almost puppy like. But she definitely had her
moods. I am glad she had a better end than she did a middle. Poor girl with a broken leg
at some point, and a heart murmur and no teeth. She was still loveable. Happy Ever After
Bianca!
Hubbards Hounds In Memory of PORKCHOP

Porkchop was rescued from a TN mill less than a year ago. She went to live with
Cristi and Rob along with their children. The whole family LOVED her so much
and she loved them. Sadly, Porkchop died this past weekend of an apparent
heart attack.

Thanks Cristi and Rob for giving Porkchop the best 10 months of her life. She
was very happy and loved you all so much. Rest in Peace Porkchop.
Susan Hubbard in Memory of Bitty,

One sweet little Chihuahua girl!
Carli was lost by her adoptive Mom just months after the adoption. She
had complications from the cancer and surgery that was performed to try
to prolong her life. We are so very sorry to hear that our beautiful Carli is
no longer with us on earth. We do know that she has no more pain
though and is in a better place.
Some of the Aussie mix puppies that came a couple weeks ago were exposed to a virus and
unfortunately did not make it despite round the clock care. Mia was one lucky pup that she was
able to fight off this awful illness.

In Memory of Bear: about 12 years old or so. He
actually came from another rescue, but was not
neutered and had terrible teeth. We were contacted to
see if we could help him and we agreed to. He loved
to cuddle on the couch with his foster Mom.

This is Diana who we saved from a bad breeding situation a
little over a year ago. We had to make that awful decision
recently for Diana due to increasing aggression toward
everyone that we feel was caused by a mental/brain
problem (possibly a tumor or something to due with her
eyes). We showed her that there was love in the world for as
long as we could and would have kept her forever if she had
been happy like she was in this picture. RIP Diana, Fly free
baby girl.

Diana is shown here with Halix when he was a baby (he
was adopted from HH)
After surviving IMHA for 18 months and Cushing’s for over 6
months, Bonnie (adopted with Clyde from another rescue on
3/10/2005) passed away 4/2011 after suddenly collapsing at home
and subsequently finding an adrenal tumor had metastasized to
her heart, her kidneys were failing, and her breathing was
extremely labored.

Bonnie (the cockapoo staring at the camera) is shown here with
her brother Clyde (in front), and two rescues from Hubbards,
Kherrington (formerly Marka) who is staring at her momma as
always, and Twitch, a few days after bringing her little sisters
home.  Never in good health after being overbred and abused,
Bonnie was the sweetest, most loving dog and loved cuddling with
Clyde in their doggie bed.  She finally knew love her final 6 years on
earth and will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
