TOMMIE
Tommie is a 1-2 yr old Pom who is a sweet
boy. He loves children and all people. He is
good with other dogs also. He has been
neutered, is up to date with shots,
microchipped and HW negative. He also had a
dental.

Tommie found his FUR-EVER home 3/27/10.
He went to a home with 3 other Poms and it is
going well. What a great home for him! He
instantly fell in love with his new Mom and Dad!

UPDATE 9/10:
Yesterday was 6 months that Tommy has been with us
so I wanted to send you an update. Tommy continues to
be just the best little dog. He is so giving and trusting
and he has adjusted to his "brothers" so well. Bobby is
trying to get him to play but Tommy does not seem to
know what to do. He likes to play with us and loves to
chase his ball (soft foam only, please) but he seems
unsure of what to do when Bobby tries to get him going.
It's funny because Jimmy taught Bobby how to play in
the first place!  As you know having a "pack" is work but
seeing the interaction and how they relate to each other
is to me just so interesting.
Tommy's overall adjustment has been no trouble. He is a little more vocal now than at first, talking to us
with happy, excited barks and little grumbling sounds to greet us when we come home. He has been
fantastic about his crate, at night and in the car and he is always ready for a road trip or just to go outside.
He hears the door open and he is there! He does not beg for food and will lie quietly near the table when
we are eating. He loves tomates we found out, as I would catch him standing on his hind legs to gently
pluck the tomato (ripe ones only, please) from the plant and carry it into house to enjoy in private
I have a great work story for you but I would not want you or Susan to think that I wanted Tommy just to be a
therapy dog. We fell in love with him when we saw that beautiful, smiling face on our computer screen and
I only hoped my application got there fast enough. His wonderful nature helped to fill the void and ease the
pain in my heart over losing Chucky and that alone would be enouh for me. His love has been a truely
wonderful thing for us and WE are the "lucky dogs" who got to take him home.

At my work they have what is called a "recognition dinner" which is really a big yearly party for the
employees. At different points in your longevity working at the facility, you are "recognised" specificly at the
event, which means you name is called out and you have your picture put up on a big screen so everybody
"recognises" who you are.

One of the girls in the PR department took to Tommy so much (of course) that said to me one day when
he comes in again let know so I can take his picture so he can be recognised!!!  She said "He does good
work here and everyone should know him too!" So the next day Tommy went to work with me and she took
about a dozen pictures so we could choose the best one to put up on the big screen at the dinner! I was
so proud of him and he did so well during the "photo shoot". I am going to get some of those pictures to
download to the computer so I can include them with his story that I will post on your web site.
Thank you and Susan again for being a part of the joy that Tommy has brought into our lives and will from
now on.

Dave and Deb.
