Momma Mayme’s Story
- told by Sue Hubbard, Director of Hubbard’s

Mayme is a Puggle (Pug/Beagle), about 3-4 years
old.
I deal with a lot of different people, one being in KY.
I received 3 pictures of Mayme (then named Amy) to
see if I was interested in taking her.
What was said was, "Anyone interested in the ugly
fat little dog?"
I immediately responded with, “I will take the
beautiful puggle!”
The response was, "you think she is beautiful?"
I said “Yes, please send her to me.”
They took her to the vet to be spayed before
transporting her up.
The next email I got said, “She is very pregnant, do
you still want her?”
I said “Absolutely”. I never back down on my
commitment to a dog regardless of whether I found
out she was pregnant, HW positive or whatever. I
would deal with it. Once I commit, I commit and we
deal with any issue that comes up.

Mayme went to a wonderful home 10/2011 and is now an only dog. It is nothing more than she
deserves, to be spoiled and pampered! She is very loved in her home and is learning what being part of
a forever family is like. Mayme has feline siblings, but she knows she is the queen of the castle! She
also has a 2 legged brother she adores! This is exactly the home we wanted for Mayme and we are so
excited for her. I get periodic updates about how great she is doing and how much she is loved! Nothing
could make me happier for our little Momma!
