Mariano the Dachshund is dominant
with other smaller dogs. Fine with
bigger ones. He is a marker, but we
are working on that with a belly band.
More shy than the others. Would be
best with children over 10 and likes
women more than men. Takes him
more time to warm up than the
others. Likes the leash, but prefers
the yard. 75% housebroken. Chases
cats, but doesn't hurt them. Working
on barking and jumping. He is now
about a year old, is neutered, up to
date with shots and microchipped.
Mariano was adopted 5/2011 by a
wonderful family who is very dog
savvy. Probably a good thing since
Mariano is very shy to begin with. By
the time Debra left with him though,
he was puddy in her arms. Mariano
will be an only dog, but will have a
kitty to play with. Debra is retired so
will have lots of time to spend with
Mariano and he will have lots of
exercise in the fenced in yard.
